TERMS AND CONDITIONS

General


All the goods available from the Shop comply with current legislation. When you choose to shop with us online, a contract of sale is made at the time we accept your order. By confirming your order on our website you agree to accept the following Terms and Conditions. The contract is made under English Law.


Delivery and Collection

You can elect to call into the shop to collect your order, or we can deliver your order to you. Our delivery service covers most of the United Kingdom; any other areas may incur increased delivery costs. We make a charge to cover delivery and packing; this price is calculated for you at the time of placing your order. Delivery date options are also specified at the time of ordering.

All deliveries are despatched using a next-day delivery service (see the section on Packaging for details of specialist packaging used). Using a next-day service ensures that our products reach you in the best condition. Your order can be delivered to an address other than the billing address, details of which will be requested at the time of ordering, together with any special delivery instructions (such as specifying a safe place to leave your order, should you not be available to take delivery personally). As our products are perishable, the delivery shall be deemed to have been made when the consignee accepts delivery in person or the driver has left the parcel at specified unattended premises.


  1. You may collect your order directly from the Shop on a previously specified day (we are open seven days a week). Goods not collected within two days of a specified collection date will be disposed of and the order deemed complete. No refunds can be made for uncollected orders.

    In the event of your order failing to arrive as expected, please contact us by email or telephone within 24 hours of the expected delivery, quoting your order number. Should your order not be delivered within one working day of the delivery date as confirmed at the time of ordering, you will be entitled to a full and immediate refund.

 

Cancellation

 

We regret that, due to the short timescale involved in handling fresh meat orders, it is not possible to cancel or amend your order, once placed.

 

Packaging

 

Every effort is made to ensure that our products reach you in perfect condition. Our packaging has been designed specifically for our product range in order to keep the products at optimum temperature for up to 48 hours following delivery, whether fresh or frozen. We use Sorba-freeze Refrigerant Pads, which are manufactured from a non-woven polyester fabric and silver laminate. Inside each ‘cell’ is an acrylate polymer powder which is capable of absorbing liquid up to 150 times its own weight. Sorba-freeze continues to control temperature even above 2°C and it is extremely safe and easy to handle. Sorba-freeze is non-toxic, food-safe and can be disposed of in normal household waste. Alternatively, it can be re-used as a food-safe refrigerant provided it is kept clean and free from food residue. Our polystyrene packing boxes may also be useful for storage.

 

Delivery Costs

 

In order to maintain the competitive costs of our meat products, delivery and packaging costs are limited to £10 for any of our meat boxes.

 

Acceptable Weight Variation

 

Our lamb and beef boxes consist of approximately 15 – 20kg (Lamb) or 10kg - 20kg (beef), small variations occur with the size of our carcasses.

 

Unfulfilled Orders

 

Lamb is normally available for delivery on a Thursday if ordered before mid-day on Monday. However, beef may have a longer delivery lead time due to the hanging period. We do not supply under-matured beef.

 

Acceptable Product Variation

 

As orders are individually prepared, it is expected that there may be some variation with some items.
