Any orders placed either referring to or through the Poppinghole Farm website are subject to these Terms and Conditions. Use of the website for unlawful purposes or for purposes other than those for which it is clearly intended, is strictly forbidden. We recommend you print a copy of these Terms and Conditions.
Payment
You may pay by Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Visa Debit or Debit card.
Please ensure you complete the details required – your card number, expiry date and 3 digit security code. If you are paying by Switch Debit Card you will also need to include the card issue number, or if paying by Maestro, the start date.
The maximum number of days Hampers may be ordered and paid for is 120 days in advance of delivery, during which time the price will be held.
Secure Server
Poppinghole Farm website is secured using industry standard secure technology to enable encryption of potentially sensitive information such as your credit card details.
Delivery
Delivery charges cover carriage, packaging costs and insurance.
- We operate a weekday 24 hour standard service to most parts of mainland U. K. for orders placed before 12.30pm Monday to Thursday. See delivery detail.
- Orders received after 12.30pm Thursday and during the day on Friday will normally be delivered on the following Monday (unless Saturday has been requested). See named delivery.
- Deliveries at weekends and Bank Holidays can be requested for an additional charge. See named day delivery.
- We cannot guarantee deliveries if the reasons for delay are beyond our control.
If you have provided us with an alternative point for delivery in addition to the main address in the event that the recipient is absent the carrier will leave a card to notify the recipient of the location the parcel has been left. If an alternative point is not nominated, the courier at his discretion may leave the parcel in a safe place. If the parcel cannot be left safe the carrier will leave a card with contact details so that redelivery or collection can be arranged. An extra charge may be incurred. If the carrier doesn’t receive a response to the card, they will return the gift to us after five working days. However, they are required to notify us of any parcels that are not delivered so that we can try to resolve the issue before the parcel is returned. If you need the parcel to be redelivered to a different address then you will need to notify us we will verify your details and once satisfied we will provide the courier with the new instructions.
We cannot be held responsible for (a) non-delivery if the address details are incorrect. The correct postcode is important. (b) Condition of the parcel and its contents if the recipient is not in to receive and sign for the parcel.
Non Availability and Substitution
Ready made Hampers:
We will make every effort to supply the items described in the Hampers. However, in the event of supply difficulties, we reserve the right to substitute any items with replacements that are of equal quality and value. You have the right to decline any substituted items within 7 days of receipt of the replacement goods. We will either arrange to collect the items from your nominated address or ask you to send them back to us.
A refund, to the value of the goods returned in good order and any costs incurred sending them back to us, will be made within 30 days of our receipt of the goods.
Create your own Hamper:
Individual items will be marked out of stock on the web-site.
We endeavour to ensure that the items we offer are always stocked however, our suppliers may experience difficulties.
Return and Exchange of Damaged Goods
We make every effort to supply goods to our customers in perfect condition. It is our policy to either replace damages goods or make a refund of the value of such goods together with your return delivery costs.
If goods are damaged in transit or found to be defective on arrival, you must notify us in writing or by email within 72 hours. Such goods must be returned for inspection. We will either arrange to collect them from your nominated address or ask you to send them back to us.
Provided the complaint is found to be valid, we will refund, the value of the goods returned and any costs incurred in sending them back to us. Payment will be made within 30 days of our receipt of the goods.
Cancellation
After placing your order you are allowed a cooling off period. You have the right to cancel your order provided:
a) You notify us of your cancellation in writing/email to the address at the foot of this page within seven working days of receipt of the Hamper. The date for the purpose of this clause will be the date of postmark or the date and time that the email was sent;
b) The goods remain in saleable condition – unused and unopened;
c) goods are readily made available for collection by our carrier and collections will only be made during working hours Monday – Friday within 21 days of notifying us of the cancellation. We will pay the costs of collection unless you or the recipients fail to facilitate the collection within 21 days of the cancellation;
You will then receive a refund within 30 days of our receipt of the goods in good condition. We will not be responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us following cancellation. Refunds do not extend to any perishable items or to items that have been opened or unwrapped.
VAT and Duty
All prices include VAT where applicable and duty on alcohol charged at the rates prevailing. We reserve the right to amend prices according to any change imposed. Not every item in a Hamper is liable to VAT and therefore the total cost of a Hamper may not incur a standard VAT rate of currently17.5%.
Prices and Payment
We reserve the right to adjust our prices and specifications of any item on the website at our discretion.
Payment for goods, including delivery charges (if any), must be made at the point of order prior to despatch. For payments made by cheque Hampers will be despatched upon receipt of cleared funds.
Acceptance of Terms
Your access to and use of the Poppinghole Farm Website (“the Website”) is subject exclusively to these Terms and Conditions. You will not use the Website for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms and Conditions. By using the Website you are fully accepting the terms, conditions and disclaimers contained in this notice. If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions you must immediately stop using the Website.
Advice
The content of this Website does not constitute advice. Therefore, the contents of the Website should not be relied upon when making a decision.
Changes to Website
Poppinghole Farm reserves the right to:
1) Change or remove (temporarily or permanently) any part of the Website without notice and you confirm that Poppinghole Farm shall not be liable to you for any such change;
2) Changes to these Terms and Conditions may be made at any time, and your continued use of the Website following any such change(s) shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change(s).
