If you have provided us with an alternative point for delivery in addition to the main address in case the recipient is out the carrier will leave a card to notify the recipient of the location of the parcel. We recommend that you specify somewhere sheltered and out of view. If an alternative point is not nominated, the carrier at thier discretion may leave the parcel in a safe place. If the parcel cannot be left safe the carrier will leave a card with contact details so that redelivery or collection can be arranged. An extra charge may be incurred. If the carrier does not receive a response to the card, they will return the Hamper to us after five working days. However, they are required to notify us of any parcels that are not delivered so that we can try to resolve the issue before the parcel is returned. If you need the parcel to be redelivered to a different address then you will need to notify us. We will verify your details and once satisfied we will provide the courier with the new instructions.
Christmas – during this very busy period we instruct carriers to leave deliveries in a safe dry location and put a card through the door to advise where the parcel has been left. For fresh produce and larger Hampers, see below.
Fresh Produce and Larger Hampers
For fresh produce and larger Hampers, we ask that you try and ensure that someone will be able to receive the Hampers on delivery. Large parcels are too vulnerable to leave safely and chilled Hampers need to be opened and refrigerated within 36 hours of dispatch to ensure that the contents remain in good order. We cannot guarantee that the item be kept cool if they are returned to the delivery depots overnight. Hampers with fresh produce ordered for despatch on a Friday, unless a special Saturday delivery has been arranged will be despatched on the following Mondays.
